Until recently, I was Chief Learning Technology Officer for Pearson International Higher Education. I’m essentially a high-level product person with a strategic bent. I’ve worked for six years in international markets (which for Pearson before the reorganisation meant the whole world outside of North America).

Before moving to the UK, I worked for Pearson in the US for nine years in Higher Educationdeveloping products like MyEconLab and MyFinanceLab. I worked on the original development of Pearson’s proprietary ebook, eText, and various other technology initiatives. All of my positions with Pearson were “start ups”—that is, I never moved into a position that had an incumbent, so I’m good at researching, qualifying and quantifying opportunities to create actionable plans and build process and teams to carry them out. I’m a confident speaker, presenter, and trainer and able to work in either the US or Europe.

I raised two kids as a single parent, and once they went their own ways, I released a pent-up desire to see the world and its museums, architecture, and landscapes, and to eat its foods and hear its languages. Design and aesthetics are important to me—in my life and in my product work. I’m an avid knitter and photographer, though perhaps possessed of more zeal than technical skill.

My daughter is a musician: https://www.facebook.com/glovestunes?fref=ts. My son is an Air Force Reserve Tech Sergeant and student.
